Five crypto deposit mistakes that cost money

I have made or closely witnessed every one of these. None can be undone once done, so prevention is everything.

1. Sending over the wrong network

The king of mistakes. USDT exists on TRC-20, ERC-20, BEP-20 and more. If the casino gives you a TRC-20 address and you send via ERC-20, the money is gone. Check the network twice, every time.

2. Forgetting the destination tag

With XRP and a few other coins, the casino asks for a destination tag. Without it the deposit arrives but is not assigned to your account. It can be recovered through support, but it takes time.

3. Typing the address by hand

Never. Use the copy button or the QR code. One wrong character and the funds go to a destination that does not exist.

4. Leaving no margin for the fee

If the minimum is 20 USDT and you send exactly 20, the fee can leave you below it and the deposit will not count toward the bonus. Always send slightly more.

5. Depositing with the bonus misconfigured

Some casinos require activating the bonus before depositing, or entering a code. Deposit first and you lose the offer, which is rarely applied retroactively.
